The special pulley consists of a fixed hub that is stopped against the fixed support shaft, and a drum (5) that rotates freely in two directions around the fixed hub, characterised by an external toothed profile that cooperates with a balancing retention pawl (8) contained within said drum. In the event of failure of the spring (M), the pawl interferes with the toothed crown (7), so as to prevent free and uncontrolled descending movement of the rolling shutter joined to said drum.

Advantageously, the spring supplementary module 11 has a first connector 21 for being non-rotatably connected to the fixed center axle journal 17 of the driver element 5. The second connection 22 is operably connected to the flange portion of rotating parts 23.

Whether you are installing new aluminium or uPVC built-on shutters, or replacing your old roller shutter belt, the process is simple and quick. All you need is a ladder, a pair of gloves and a good quality toolkit.

First, you will need to drill the hole for the cord winder. Measure the width of your cord with a yard stick, and mark Hardened & Tempered Steel Strip Supplier it on the window frame with a pen. Then, use a screwdriver to drill the hole. Make sure to leave 2 mm space for the strap.

A regular maintenance schedule is vital to the longevity of roller shutters.
