How to Choose the Best iPhone 14 Case

How to Choose the Best iPhone 14 Case

While the new iPhone 14 and 15 look similar, their sizes differ slightly. This can impact the fit of cases and compatibility with accessories.

Choose from a dozen colors including dark shades like Midnight Green, Storm Blue and Blackout and pastel hues like Succulent, Iris, and Chalk Pink. Plus, there are bold looks, too, such as the eye-catching Blooming Lotus and feisty citrus Canary Yellow.

Apple Silicone Case

The right case for your iphone 14 can impact how you interact with your device. It should feel comfortable in your hand and preserve the sleek design of your phone. It also should provide the protection you need from everyday wear and tear. Some cases even offer added benefits, like antimicrobial technology that keeps your device hygienic. Other features, like reinforced corners for lanyard attachments, help keep your hands free and worry-free.

Cases come in a variety of materials and designs, making it easy to find the perfect match for your style. Metal cases have a premium look and feel, while polycarbonate is a durable material that protects against damage from bumps and drops. Plastic cases, on the other hand, are lightweight and come in a variety of colors and patterns.

With the release of new iPhone models, it’s important to understand how different dimensions can affect case compatibility. Although they may look similar at a glance, the differences between iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro models can cause older cases to fit poorly or break easily. The iPhone 14 Pro is taller and narrower than the iPhone 13, so it’s essential to find a case that fits perfectly.

Spigen Liquid Air

Spigen’s lineup of cases provides bang for the buck without skimping on functionality. The minimalist Liquid Air became my favorite of the bunch, largely for its clean aesthetic and light branding. A small debossed Spigen logo is positioned on the back lower third of the case in a contrasting texture, a nice implementation of branding that doesn’t get in your face.

The case is also equipped with raised edges and iphone 14 case built-in Air Cushion Technology that absorbs shocks when your phone accidentally slips from your hands or collides with hard surfaces. Its back is adorned with a geometric pattern that enhances grip and doesn’t feel flimsy. The design is lightweight and retains the Pixel’s slim frame, making it easy to fit in pockets.

Other notable options include the stylish Rugged Armor, which features carbon fiber at the bottom of its silicone back and a slick kickstand that pops out from a nook on the case’s back, as well as the Goliath-like Tough Armor, which doesn’t bother with maintaining the slim form factor, instead adding both bulk and anti-shock protection. All of Spigen’s cases offer snug, well-fitting sheaths; cutouts for the power and volume buttons, and power switch; MagSafe compatibility; and affordable price tags.

Smartish Gripzilla

The Gripzilla is a rugged case that’s built for those who like to put their hands to work. It’s designed with finger grooves and grippy textured sides that are sure to keep your phone in your grasp, even when it’s in a tight spot. The case also has air-pocket corners that are designed to cushion drops and prevent your phone’s screen, camera, and back from taking the brunt of any impact.

The case is also MagSafe compatible and works with any magnetic charging or accessory you may have. It’s one of the most affordable cases on our list that prioritizes protection and grip with a slim, sleek design.

If you’re looking for a more streamlined version of the Gripzilla, Smartish also offers the Kung Fu Grip which combines the same protective features into a thinner design. I’ve been testing the Kung Fu Grip in a clear “Nothin to Hide” flavour, although you can personalise the design on their website for an additional cost. The back is slightly less grippy and the corners are more subdued in comparison to the Gripzilla.

Pitaka MagEZ Case 3

This case is a bit pricey, but it’s unique and looks cool. It’s woven from aerospace-grade aramid fiber, which is bullet-proof and a lot stronger than steel but five times lighter. It also has embedded magnets for the MagEZ ecosystem, so you can use it with magnetic chargers, wallets, and car mounts.

This slim case fits in the iPhone 14 without adding any extra bulk or weight. It’s also military-grade drop tested for durability. It has a nice molded look and soft, non-scratch lining. It also has raised ring around the camera module that helps protect the lenses if you accidentally put the phone face down.

Another case from Pitaka is the StarPeak MagEZ Case 4. This is a collaboration with designer Jonathan James, and it’s made from a special boron-chromium alloy that looks like carbon fiber. It’s designed for wireless charging and works with MagEZ accessories, including the MagEZ Slider 2, MagEZ Grip, MagEZ Car Mount Pro, and the MagEZ Card Sleeve UE. The case can be ordered in several colors. It also features chamfer cutting for a sleeker design.

Vena vCommute

The vCommute is the best iPhone 14 wallet case for people who like to watch YouTube or biodegradable iphone case wholesale manufacturer Netflix videos on their phones. Its cover that secures three credit cards folds back into a kickstand that can prop up your phone at several different angles.

This case isn’t just about convenience: it also offers military-grade drop protection. Its dual-layer design is made of polycarbonate and shock-absorbing thermoplastic polyurethane, with CornerGuard technology that’s designed to absorb and disperse force from bumps and drops. It’s been dropped tested to MIL-STD 810G-516.6 standards, meaning it can withstand 26 drops from eight feet. It’s also compatible with MagSafe car mounts, but you have to open the card slot flap to use them. Metal credit cards may interfere with wireless charging, though, so be sure to remove them before placing your phone on the charger.

Some people may balk at buying a smartphone case that’s based on plastic or other fossil-based materials, but Gear4’s Copenhagen case proves you don’t have to sacrifice safety for sustainability. It’s made of recycled materials and D3O Bio, a plant-based material that’s also odorless and antimicrobial. It promises 13-foot drop protection and works with wireless charging.
